Privacy Policy
Kingdom Plugin Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy governs individual app users who browse, search, or use Kingdom Plugin to find businesses, churches, ministries, shelter hubs, or events. Businesses, churches, and ministries that create a listing on Kingdom Plugin are governed by the separate Kingdom Plugin Privacy Policy (Business & Ministry Partners).
This is a starting template. Have it reviewed by an attorney licensed in your state before publishing.
1. Introduction
Kingdom Plugin ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services") as an individual user. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
Name, Email Address, Phone Number
Account credentials
Payment information, if you make purchases or donations through the app (processed by our payment provider — see Section 5)
Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback, reviews you post about businesses or churches)
Information collected automatically:
Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
Usage data (pages viewed, features used, time spent, listings you interact with or save)
Log data (IP address, access times, app crashes)
Location data, if you enable location services (used to show nearby businesses, churches, events, and shelter hubs)
Information from third parties:
If you sign in using a third-party service (e.g., Google), we may receive basic profile information from that service.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
Show you relevant nearby businesses, churches, ministries, shelter hubs, and events based on your location
Process payments or donations you choose to make
Send transactional communications (account notifications, receipts) via SendGrid (email) and Twilio (SMS)
Personalize your experience and improve recommendations
Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Services
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
Comply with legal obligations
4. AI and Automated Features
Kingdom Plugin does not currently use artificial intelligence (AI) features. We plan to introduce AI-powered features in the future, which may include:
Recommendation systems to connect you with relevant businesses, churches, or ministries
Automated content moderation for reviews and user-generated content
Chat-based support tools
If and when we introduce such features, we will update this policy before launch to disclose what data is used, whether any automated decision materially affects you, whether third-party AI providers process your data, and whether your data is used to train AI models.
We will notify users of material changes to this section in accordance with Section 13 (Changes to This Policy) before any new AI feature affecting personal data goes live.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers (processors):
Stripe — payment processing
Firebase / Google Cloud — app infrastructure, authentication, analytics, hosting
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting and data storage
Twilio — SMS/text notifications
SendGrid — transactional and marketing email delivery
Kingdom Plugin respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your mobile phone number and messaging preferences. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Kingdom Plugin may use your mobile phone number to send transactional text messages necessary to provide and secure your account, including one-time passcodes (OTP) for account verification and login authentication. Message frequency is based on user activity and requests; for authentication messages, one message may be sent per user request.
Message and data rates may apply. SMS messages are only sent when initiated or requested through the Kingdom Plugin platform for account verification or authentication purposes.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Public content you post: If you post a review, comment, or rating about a business, church, or ministry, that content is visible to other users by design.
Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kingdom Plugin, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: If Kingdom Plugin is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Following account deletion, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it longer to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. When personal information is disposed of, we render it unreadable or undecipherable, consistent with Florida's data disposal requirements.
7. Data Security and Breach Notification
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting through AWS and Firebase — to protect your personal data. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach occurs affecting your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and in accordance with the breach notification law of your state of residence. All 50 U.S. states, along with D.C. and other territories, have breach notification laws; specific deadlines and thresholds vary by state (generally ranging from "without unreasonable delay" up to a fixed maximum, commonly 30–90 days depending on the state). Where applicable law also requires notice to a state regulator or nationwide consumer reporting agencies once a certain number of residents are affected, we will provide that notice as well.
As a Florida-registered business, we specifically comply with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), Fla. Stat. § 501.171, which requires:
Notice to affected individuals within 30 days of determining a breach has occurred and poses a risk of harm
Notice to the Florida Department of Legal Affairs within 30 days if 500 or more Florida residents are affected
Notice to nationwide consumer reporting agencies if 1,000 or more Florida residents are affected
Breach notices will describe, in general terms, what happened, what categories of personal information were involved, steps we've taken to address it, and how to contact us. Our third-party service providers (Stripe, Firebase/Google Cloud, AWS, Twilio, SendGrid) are contractually required to notify us within 10 days of discovering a breach involving your data.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Kingdom Plugin is a Florida-registered business. Florida's comprehensive privacy statute, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR), applies only to companies with more than $1 billion in global annual revenue that also meet additional criteria — Kingdom Plugin does not currently meet this threshold. We voluntarily extend the following rights to all users as good practice:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate personal data
Delete your personal data
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (Note: Kingdom Plugin does not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising)
Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 45 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Kingdom Plugin's Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with COPPA. Florida law (Fla. Stat. §§ 501.1735–501.1736) also imposes protections for minors' personal information regardless of company size. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users we know to be under 18 without appropriate consent.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at the address in Section 15.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers (including Google/Firebase Analytics) use cookies, mobile device identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the Services and understand usage patterns. You can control cookies through your device settings; disabling certain cookies may limit functionality.
11. Marketing Communications
We may send you promotional emails (via SendGrid) or SMS messages (via Twilio). In accordance with CAN-SPAM and TCPA, we will obtain consent before sending marketing texts, honor opt-outs promptly, and include accurate sender identification in emails.
You may opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe," replying "STOP" to SMS, or adjusting notification preferences in your account. You cannot opt out of essential transactional communications while your account remains active.
12. User Content and Takedown Requests
If you post reviews, comments, or content, we maintain procedures for reviewing and removing content that violates our policies or applicable law. In accordance with the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act, we will remove nonconsensual intimate imagery (including AI-generated deepfakes) within 48 hours of a valid removal request. Requests can be submitted using the contact information in Section 16.
12A. Copyright / DMCA Notice and Takedown Policy

Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it of the removal and the reason for it.
Filing a Counter-Notice
A user whose content was removed may submit a counter-notice to our designated agent if they believe the removal was made in error or misidentification. A valid counter-notice must include:
Identification of the material removed and its location before removal
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district where Kingdom Plugin may be found)
Your physical or electronic signature
Restoration of Content
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If that party does not notify us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days of receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Kingdom Plugin will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Misrepresentation
Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
13. International Users
Kingdom Plugin currently operates in the United States only. If this changes, we will update this policy to address international data transfer requirements before offering the Services outside the U.S.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email, in-app notice, or a prominent notice on our website prior to the change taking effect.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy are subject to the arbitration agreement and class action waiver set forth in our Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the Services.
